GENERAL: Finals are coming up soon and school along with some health/other problems are kind of kicking my ass. I'll try to be around as much as possible, though!

KATNISS EVERDEEN:

Without a doubt my strongest pup, probably the strongest I've had in a while. Mostly because Suzanne Collins' style is so unique that it's fun to try to emulate. But even so, I still have my doubts and I still second-guess every tag I send out. Maybe because so many people have read/are reading THG lately. My biggest concern is that, well...she's not crazy/cold enough. It's so very hard to have her be silent and standoffish in threads because I want to give the other person something to respond to, and having two paragraphs of pure introspection (the way it is in the books) doesn't seem fair. So sometimes I make her talk a little more than she would. I'm also hesitate to write really emotionally-charged threads with people because I"m worried about unloading on them without asking. But Katniss is a wreck, no matter how the outside might look. I just need to find more ways to show that she's not okay. She might not be as bad as she was at the end of canon (not trying to kill herself via morphine overdose and being imprisoned for days is a start), but she's still pretty bad. IDK I'm just perpetually self-conscious about her.

I'd love for her to actually get to the point where she trusts someone enough to really tell them everything, but that's an unspecific plot with no timeframe. Also does anyone have any arrows? Hunting again would put her in a better mood.

Thread requests: Peeta Mellark (always and forever), I really enjoy her interactions with Lucy Carrigan and Jason Todd, so ditto to them as well. Columbus Ohio is always a good laugh. Teddy Altman. Coraline (so she can be reminded of Prim). Sawyer. More teenagers. In general, Katniss tends to hang around/get along better with boys, but I've always wanted her to have a female role-model type. Riza Hawkeye? GIVE ME ANYONE /grabbyhands. Especially your mentally scarred or bubbly bouncy happy nice people!

ANNABETH CHASE:

Settled. Annabeth is a comfortable character, one that I feel that I've more or less got down - since I've played her longer and she doesn't require any specific prose, I feel as though I can play her at any time. But she had a lot going on last month - and her budding relationship with Percy is something I'd love to see more of. In general, I'd like to get her into some more tangible plots: for now I've had her working on her blueprints and exploring the island. Beyond that, I'm not sure what to do. But meeting new people is definitely on the table! Especially teenagers with similar interests.

The PJO cast and Luke need to have a talk soon, maybe? Or more of a showdown.

ANGEL:

I need a rewatch. The problem with Angel on the island is that he needs people to save. He really relies on it to give him a purpose. And I'm generally pretty skittish about approaching people for threads (something I really need to improve on) so this part of his development has been really stunted. He's reclusive, which makes it harder to throw him into social situations because although he's not anti-social normally, he's not exactly adept at it either. And with the recent transformation to Angelus during Halloween plot, he's retreated into the jungle. Because he's not safe for people to be around.

...So that's going to make things difficult. But I'm thinking of having an EP for anyone who's pups would feasibly be that far into the jungle? Hopefully that works out.

Thread requests: Buffy Summers (Always and forever), Sookie Stackhouse, Spike, Mitchell, all vampires/supernatural-savvy people, young people that need a mentor, people that need saving.

THE FUTURE:

I'm thinking Peter Petrelli (from Heroes), once I get all my reqs for November done. But I'm also pretty intrigued about the idea of apping Neal Caffrey (from White Collar) because I have a die-hard love for smartasses. All my pups are so very antisocial, so I want someone friendly to counter that, but it seems like I"m just attracted to that kind of character. It would be interesting to play someone sweet and happy though. Possibly an adult woman because I'm too drawn to teenagers and need to expand. Possibilities include Angela Montenegro (Bones), Max Guevara (Dark Angel), and Sun Kwon (Lost). But nothing's for certain.
